On Friday evening June 14th., observe the moon through the telescopes of the Western Colorado Astronomy Club at Grand Mesa Observatory. Views of the moon are always spectacular and endlessly fascinating, with craters, mountains, plains, rilles, and the terminator (the division between the illuminated and dark hemispheres of the moon) visible. You can also tour the observatory during this event. Starts at dusk. This event is "weather permitting". Please check the website grandmesaobservatory.com on the afternoon of the event to see if it is still on. The rain/cloud date is Saturday June 15.
